Oasis Refrigerated Air Screen Cases - Do's & Don't's

Do:

- Refrigerate all freshly made food products before displaying them in the case. The case will, however, effectively chill bottled beverages over a period of time.
- Clean the condenser coil on a monthly basis. Simply remove the front panel (no tools required) to access the front facing condenser coil.
- Keep all food packages behind the internal refrigeration air curtain. Disruptions to the air curtain will affect product temperatures.
- Specify casters in locations where health departments require equipment be sealed to the floor for sanitation reasons. Health department accept casters as an alternate to sealing to the floor and this feature keeps the unit flexible for changes in future use.

Don't:

- Place the air screen merchandiser near an air conditioning vent. The nearest HVAC vent should be at least 10' away from the air screen case to prevent refrigeration performance issues.
- Place the unit tightly against the wall, ceiling or soffit. A minimum 4" clearance behind and above the unit is required for proper ventilation of compressor air.
- Block the unit's front panel.  Compressor air intake is from the front with discharge out the rear.
- Display foods with ingredients vulnerable to freezing along the rear of the shelves (e.g. lettuce, dairy ingredients). The air being discharged through the rear panel is the coldest air in the display cabinet. The temperature of this air is typically in the upper 20's.
